Our Water Rescue team participated in a training exercise this weekend hosted by the Township of Upper Providence Department of Fire and Emergency Services along with other surrounding area water rescue teams. The exercise consisted of the marine units deploying a tensioned cross river line for rescue/recovery operations which stretched from the Montgomery County side to the Chester County side of the Schuylkill River. The teams also practiced shuttling divers and their equipment from the shore to their diving platform. Units and Personnel from Upper Providence Fire Department, Black Rock Fire Company, Collegeville Fire Company, Jefferson Fire Company, Phoenixville Fire Department, Trappe Ambulance and Friendship Fire Company Diving-Rescue Unit participated in the drill.
