Tree and Wires Down on Gerloff Rd
September 24
At 8:44 am on September 24, the Limerick Fire Department was dispatched for an electrical fire on Gerloff Rd. Ladder 51 and Fire Police responded. A tree had fallen across Gerloff Rd, taking down wires and knocking out power in the area. Crews arrived, established a safe working area and then cut and removed the tree from the roadway. Busy Monday for Limerick Volunteers

At 5:20 am on September 23, the Limerick Fire Department was dispatched for a reported transformer fire in the parking lot of Fresenius Medical Care on Linfield-Trappe Rd. Engine 51 and Squad 51 responded. Crews arrived to find mulch on fire near a light pole base. Once the electricity was isolated, personnel were then able to extinguish the fire. Crews were made available a short time later.

Monday Night Training: Building Pre-planning and UTV/Trailer Operations
September 16
For Monday night training on September 16, the Limerick firefighters practiced trailer operations at the Limerick Station. Utility 51-1 was hooked up to the UTV trailer and Utility 51-2 was hooked up to the boat trailer. Personnel also gained experience in operating the UTV. Busy Monday night in Limerick
September 16
Shortly after our volunteers got home from their weekly Monday night training on September 16, the department was dispatched at 9:45 pm for a fire alarm on Rosewood Trl. Squad 51, Engine 51, and Deputy 51 responded. Crews checked the residence for a potential cause of the alarm activation. Joint Water Rescue Training with UPTDFES

Members of Limerick Fire Departments' water rescue team joined Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services for a joint training on emergency boat operations skills on September 15. Limerick Community Day

On the very warm September afternoon of the 14th, members of Limerick Fire Department attended Limerick Community Day.
