| On Monday evening, the Royersford Fire Department kindly allowed the Limerick Fire Department to use their Forcible Entry Training Door Simulator to review and practice forcible entry techniques. One of the basic duties of firefighters is to perform forcible entry of some kind. Sometimes it's easy, while at other times is can be a bit more difficult and challenging. There are variety of hand tools, saws, and hydraulic tools available to assist with forcible entry. For this training, we returned back to the basics and used an axe and halligan bar to review and practice forcing both inward and outward swinging doors. |
