| On the evening of January 27, with temperatures in the single digits, Limerick volunteers responded to two separate incidents.
Just before 7:00 PM, Ladder 51 was dispatched to assist Perkiomen Fire Company with a chimney fire along Gravel Pike. The first arriving officer reported fire in the wall. Initial crews quickly brought the incident under control, preventing further extension and damage.
As Ladder 51 was clearing the scene, the department was dispatched to assist Norco Fire Company with a working fire. Ladder 51 and Tanker 51 responded. The Ladder 51 crew initially operated as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), while Tanker 51 assisted with water shuttling operations at the scene.
All units were back in service and returned to the station at approximately 10:00 PM. |
