On December 6, the department kicked off the Christmas season by celebrating at the annual Christmas party with friends and family. As the festivities began, Limerick was dispatched to assist Trappe with a chimney fire, and a crew from Ladder 51 responded to the call. After handling the emergency, they returned to enjoy dinner. Santa visited the children, bringing presents for each of them. At the end of the evening, the annual awards were presented.
