On Sunday, October 19, members of the Limerick Fire Department, Limerick Police Department, and Pennsylvania State Police attended a First Responder Service at Trinity Lighthouse Church in Limerick. Before the service, a meet-and-greet was held where first responders connected with church members. During this time, Limerick personnel showcased department’s new Engine 51 and equipment. Pastor Wayne Houck then delivered a sermon titled “The Making of a Hero,” based on Numbers 13:1-6. A special prayer was also offered for all first responders and their families. The department is grateful for the invitation and warm hospitality and looks forward to returning next year.
