| On August 18, Limerick Fire Department teamed up with Perkiomen Fire Company for a joint training focused on fire flow paths. The evening began with members gathering in the training room to watch a brief instructional video covering flow paths, door control, and ventilation techniques.
Following the video, Perkiomen Firefighter Chris DiFerdinando led an outdoor demonstration using a mock house prop to illustrate fire behavior. He explained how fire reacts when exposed to oxygen, how to identify different types of smoke, and best practices for managing airflow in a structure fire.
As the training session wrapped up, Limerick was dispatched to a fire alarm at Arcadia. Squad 51 and Fire Police responded to the call.
Thank you to Perkiomen Fire Company for inviting us to this valuable and informative training! |
