For Monday night training on February 24, crews reviewed the CAN (Conditions, Actions, and Needs) reports. Crews were split into four groups and sent to locations along Ridge Pike for a building and hazard assessment. The locations included Limerick Auto Body, Valley Forge Kinder House Montessori School, Peter Lumber, and El Limon. Crews walked around the buildings to identify hazards, areas for first due apparatus placement should the location have a fire, and determined where and how to obtain water supply and other resources that might be needed. Then, each group returned to the station and drew their plan on the whiteboard before presenting it to the company.
