Wednesday morning members from the Limerick Township daytime firefighter program participated in a training evolution alongside members of the Montgomery County Special Weapons and Tactics team. The departments role during the evolution was to provide a water supply by pumping water to the SWAT teams BearCat armored personnel carrier. The BearCat is fitted with a roof mounted suppression nozzle which was used to extinguish a vehicle fire caused by the detonation of an explosive device as one part of the days scenario. We would like to thank the SWAT team for including Limerick Fire Department in the exercise.
