Welcome to Limerick Fire Departments 9th Annual Youth Firefighter Day Camp. This year we have over 135 youth firefighters ages 6-13 participating. The cadets have been divided into 7 groups: Field, Engine, Ladder, Tower, Rescue, Squad and Tanker. The activities on the initial day included review of turnout gear, issuing the gear needed for camp activities, apparatus review and boats and their equipment. Each day of camp the cadets will build on the knowledge and skills from the previous day. We also had special visitors Mac and Dixie with their handlers from VMSC, search and rescue.
We appreciate everyone who has participated over the years as the camp has grown from our initial 40 cadets to what we have today.
