The Limerick Fire Department was dispatched at 2:19 pm for a reported woods/field fire. Field 51-2, Chief 51 and Fire Police 51 responded. Upon arrival, crews found mulch smoldering. A hand line and rakes were utilized to extinguish before confirming all embers were out.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for today for gusty winds, heat, and Low Relative Humidity. Effective until 7 PM 04-12-2023.

As a reminder, there is no open burning at any time in Limerick Township per the Fire Marshals Office.
