Limerick Fire Department was dispatched for a brush fire around 4:45 this afternoon. Field 51, Field 51-1, Engine 51 and Squad 51 responded. Deputy 51 arrived on location with about a 40' x 50' area burning behind the home spreading towards an outbuilding. Limerick Police officers and the homeowner were on location attempting to extinguish the fire. Fire crews arrived and stretched handlines to extinguish and control the fire along with using fire rakes to cut a fire line.
