Approximately 40 members of The Limerick Fire Department conducted large area search and rescue training on Monday evening. The drill was intended to simulate search and rescue efforts in a large warehouse or manufacturing facility. Two separate scenarios were set up for the members to practice while then being subdivided into four person search teams. The drill also incorporated the firefighters monitoring their SCBA air usage and to know the limits they could use to conduct search and rescue escape methods.
