This evening members of Limerick Fire Department held an after action review, in person and via zoom, of their emergency responses September 1-2, 2021, during the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Over 50 members were in attendance to provide discussion points or to hear about the events. A list of calls were reviewed by the members. There were four major water rescue calls that were the focus of the discussion. Crews from each incident provided their perspective and actions taken during these situations. The crews also provided estimates of approximately 40 adults, 4 children and 14 pets rescued. Data for rescues and events are still be gathered and totaled. A huge thanks and congratulations to everyone's efforts provided during the storm.
