Career Plans

To obtain a position in the emergency management field or to become a fire marshal whether it would be at the local municipality level, county level, or even state level.

Why did you join the fire department?

I had a couple friends in the fire houses and they always talked about how fun it was, and I always liked to help people so it just came to me that I should join and see if it was for me, and it was.

What are your hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department?

I have many hobbies other the firefighting, one of my favorites being golf, I also like to go fishing. Also I am part of the Montgomery County Hazardous Materials Response Team, so some of my free time also goes to the hazmat team.

What do you like best about being part of the fire department?

I like helping people and giving back to the community, but who doesn't love riding the big fire truck with lights and sirens.

What is your most memorable incident?

It was one of my first ever car accidents, a girl who was a junior in high school got trapped in her car after she was hit head on by a much larger pick up truck, we cut her out of the car and landed the helicopter and there was talk she might not have made it, but she pulled through and we found out she went to her prom later that year in school.

Fire Department Training Classes

There are many classes I have attended, the classes don't stop either. a firefighter can never have enough training, the more training the better!
