Why did you join the fire department?
I joined in 1987 when I lived in Reading. I grew up a block from the Washington Fire Company #7/L-2. It always fascinated me when the ladder truck went flying by my house, so when I turned 18 my application was submitted and the rest is history.
What are your hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department?
Collecting Licence Plates, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, History, and collecting Antiques.
What do you like best about being part of the fire department?
The Brotherhood and friends made past and present!
What is your most memorable incident?
When Chuck was cutting the grass at the Fire House and I set his pager off to look like a real call making him get off the tractor and get ready to respond to a call that didn't exist. He didn't understand why we just stood there. It was way Funny.
