Multiple Alarm Response for Residential Structure Fire

The Township Fire Companies were dispatched for a working fire on Gristmill Lane in a 2 story residence. While enroute to the call a second alarm was requested. Chief 54 arrived on location and established Gristmill Command. Ladder 51 and Engine 54 arrived on location and were ordered to begin master stream operations for an exterior attack. Command requested additional companies for manpower to assist and utility crews for gas and electric. Royersford Fire Department (Sta. 98), Ridge Fire Company (Chester County Sta. 62), Trappe Fire Company (Sta. 77), Skippack Fire Company (Sta. 86) and Sanatoga Fire Company (Sta. 58) were dispatched to assist. Lower Providence Township Fire Company (Sta. 53) and Phoenixville Fire Company (Chester County Sta. 65) were dispatched for Engines to standby at Limerick Fire Company and Royersford Fire Department, respectively. Command advised Montgomery County Dispatch that all firefighting was an exterior operation with Ladder 51 in service and numerous exterior lines. The fire is under investigation.
