November 3, 5:25 pm: The department was dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries on N Lewis Rd during rush hour. Assistant 51, Chief 51, Rescue 51, Fire Police, Limerick Police, and Freedom Valley EMS responded. Assistant 51 upgraded the incident to a vehicle rescue after one passenger was unable to get out of one of the involved vehicles. The Rescue 51 crew operated quickly and removed the passenger-side door to safely extricate the patient, who was then transferred to EMS care and transported to an area hospital. A section of N Lewis by the Wawa was closed for the duration of the incident.
