MontCo Foam Task Force Training @ Venezia Truck w/Combat Support Products
October 24, 2026
The Montgomery County Foam Task Force participated in a training session led by Daniel Tyrrell from Combat Support Products. The class focused on reviewing the properties of foam, explaining why each type of foam is effective for the specific products it is designed to protect, and emphasizing the importance of understanding operating pressures and water supply to successfully extinguish Class B fires.
Participants also examined the equipment used by the Montgomery County Foam Task Force, including foam trailers, a deluge trailer, and Foam 81. In the afternoon, training continued at Venezia Trucking with a hands-on session using environmentally responsible training foam. During this practical exercise, the task force operated a 2,000 gallon-per-minute deck gun, a three-inch blitz fire monitor, and a 1 3/4-inch handline simultaneously from Foam 81.
