At 7:53 am on September 4, the Limerick Fire Department was dispatched to a reported rollover vehicle accident with an ejection on Route 422 EB. One minute later, the incident was upgraded to a vehicle rescue after it was reported that the ejected individual was trapped beneath the vehicle. Freedom Valley EMS arrived on location first and reported that the individual was both conscious and alert but pinned underneath the car. Chief 51 arrived and confirmed that report.
Rescue 51 arrived a few minutes later, and crews used the spreaders to lift the car about an inch off the ground to safely remove the patient from underneath. The patient was transferred to EMS for care and transported to a local hospital. All units were cleared from the scene within the hour.
