At 11:42 am on July 5, the department was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Heffner Rd. The property owner reported that the truck's engine compartment was on fire in his driveway. Chief 51 arrived and confirmed an engine compartment fire in the driveway. Engine 51's crew applied water to extinguish the fire, while fire police closed Heffner Rd. for the duration of the incident.
