On the fourth day of kids camp the cadets had some very interesting topics to review and learn. The cadets learned the basics of confined space rescue. Where they simulated rescuing a victim using a hauling line. The Cadets also learned about stove and oven fires and used a dry chemical fire extinguisher to extinguish the fires. The Cadets were introduced and reviewed home safety drills and situational awareness of their surroundings and recognizing escape routes. Cadets also learned about highway safety and traffic control instructed by the Department Fire Police. The Cadets were treated with a special visitor, "Kindle", the arson dog with Fire Chief Tom O'Donnell, from the Norristown Fire Department.
