No where else can you experience the caliber of training that SERTC delivers. SERTC stands for Security and Emergency Response Training Center which was established in 1995. Their original mission was to train railroad officials in safely handling accidents involving tank cars carrying hazardous materials and this training proved to be so successful that attendance was open to other emergency responders. They now not only serve the transportation industry but also the public sector of the emergency response community, the chemical industry, government agencies, and emergency response contractors from all over the world. Limerick Fire Department being involved in the Montgomery County Foam Task Force was able to send 5 members from the department along with 6 members from the county to attend a class on Crude Oil/Class 3 Flammable Liquid Emergencies Transported by Rail.
