| October 6, 6:24 pm: The department was dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Swamp Pike with reports of the car overturned and the driver out of the vehicle. Crews arrived, secured the vehicle, and cleared debris and fluids from the road. The single occupant was evaluated by Freedom Valley EMS and, fortunately, sustained no injuries. The driver’s seatbelt use likely played a significant role in preventing injury. Fire Police shut Swamp Pike down between Houck Rd and Fruitville Rd for the duration of the incident. All were made available within the hour. |
