| At 7:25 am on September 15, the department was dispatched to an accident involving a farm tractor and a passenger vehicle on Limerick Center Rd. Rescue 51, Chief 51, Fire Police, Limerick Police, and Freedom Valley EMS responded. One patient was evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital. The collision caused a significant spill of hydraulic fluid and beet juice across the roadway and onto both vehicles. A considerable amount of absorbent had to be used to clean up all the fluid, and Utility 51-1, with a crew, was sent to bring more to the scene. Superior Towing arrived and towed both vehicles. Limerick Center Road between Enterprise Rd and W Cherry Ln was closed by fire police for the duration of the incident. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Limerick Police. |
