1st Due Engine Training

March 9, 2026

On Monday, March 9, Limerick firefighters teamed up for a timed training on assignments of the first due engine to a working structure fire. Seat assignments in the engine determined the tasks of the crew as soon as they arrived. Tasks included forcible entry, deploying the hose, the officer's first report, and masking up. The timer started as soon as the Engine "arrived" at the cone marker and ended when the entire crew was completely masked up and ready for fire attack. The fastest team had a final time of 1 minute and 22.54 seconds!
