Leadership Under Fire

October 18, 2025

On Saturday, October 18th, the Limerick Fire Department hosted Leadership Under Fire and their program about Optimizing Tactical Performance Under Pressure. This program focuses on equipping leaders and tactical trainers with tools, concepts, and coaching strategies to optimize individual and unit-level performance under pressure. This dynamic instruction pays considerable attention to human factors, mental conditioning, and skill transfer and development. The Leadership Under Fire Team prepares leaders and organizations to navigate physical, mental, emotional, and moral rigors in highly competitive settings by developing strength of mind, body, character, and critical thought in order to optimize human performance.

Instructors:
Jake Dutton is a firefighter with the FDNY and is currently detailed to Rescue Company 1 in Manhattan.
Dan Saalfrank is currently a Battalion Chief detailed to Midtown, Manhattan.
Timothy Hill is a Captain at Cherry Hill Fire Department.

Besides some of our Limerick firefighters, we had attendees join us from Upper Providence Fire Dept, Collegeville Fire Dept, Harmonville Fire Dept, Lower Frederick Fire Dept, Harleysville Fire Dept, and Norriton Fire Dept.
