At 6:29 am, the department was dispatched to a vehicle accident standby at Township Line Rd and Souder Rd. The call was originally dispatched as being in Upper Providence at S Township Line Rd and Rittenhouse Rd, but within minutes the incident location was updated to Limerick Township as additional information was received. Rescue 51, Engine 68, and Engine 98, responded as well as Fire Police 51, Fire Police 98, and EMS Units. While units were enroute, the incident was changed to an accident with injuries. One of the vehicles involved made contact with a structure, causing damage to the porch. Upon arrival of crews, Chief 51 upgraded to a vehicle rescue and crews worked to extricate the driver of the vehicle. Southbound S Township Line Rd was closed for the duration of the rescue, vehicle removal, and cleanup.
