One of the gas odor calls that Limerick Fire Department responded to on the busy Sunday was dispatched at 4:09 pm. Engine 51, Ladder 51, Tower 51 and 51 Fire Police responded. Crews arrived, investigated and discovered a leaking gas line that led to a fireplace and secured the line. Crews were on scene for approximately 30 minutes. As Ladder 51 traveled back to the station they stopped to assist EMS on N Limerick Rd with a man who fell outside. The Ladder crew assisted with traffic control before returning to the station. All crews and apparatus were made available within the hour.
