Another Busy Day for The Limerick Fire Department

June 21, 2022

Limerick Fire Dept had another busy day with two calls during our youth firefighter camp, and then an additional two calls in the early afternoon after camp.

During the morning, Tanker 51 responded to assist Chester County Station 33 at a Barn Fire. Less than an hour later, Squad 51 responded to the medical center at 420 W Linfield Trappe Rd for the report of a subject stuck in an elevator. Crews made contact with the occupant of the elevator and worked quickly to safely free her.

Right after camp was over, Squad 51 and Ladder 51 responded to a commercial truck fire on Lewis Rd. Crews arrived on scene to find that the driver had extinguished the flames from the front of the truck. Trucks and crews returned to the station a short time later. Once again, less than hour later, the department responded to a fire alarm at the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center. Crews investigated and turned over to maintenance.
