Limerick Fire Department hosted 2 Train the Trainer courses available through VFIS. There were 15 individuals representing Limerick Fire Department, Ridge Fire Company and NORCO Fire Company, taking the courses. The two courses were Emergency Services UTV/ATV Safety Program and Emergency Services Trailer Operations and Safety. Both courses were lead by VFIS Instructor Justin Eberly. The purpose of the courses were intended to provide the participants the skill set to instruct other individuals on the safe use and operations of emergency services owned UTV/ATV's and/or trailers. As part of the training courses, the participants had to set up the skill stations utilized in the training courses, which are similar to the VFIS Emergency Vehicle Driver Training course. Limerick Fire Department would like to thank VFIS Instructor Justin Eberly for his time and knowledge shared today. As well, we would like to thank Bill Gillespie of Steely and Smith Insurance (VFIS Agent) for providing lunch to the participants in class today.
