Radio Communications Drill at the Whiskey Girl Saloon

During Monday evenings training, members of Limerick Fire Department reviewed and trained on implementing the new passport accountability system, apparatus seat assignments and radio use and communication. The drill included members operating as a team from their apparatus per orders from Command. The apparatus officer had to complete their passport tag and complete an assigned task. These tasks included search and rescue tactics for both interior rescues and roof rescues using aerial trucks, locating and rescuing downed or missing firefighters. The members practices proper radio call procedures for a mayday and communication efforts to complete other tasks while the Mayday drill was in operation. The drill was a culmination of past drills conducted in March and will continue throughout April.
