Around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Engine 51 was dispatched as part of the Western Montgomery County LDH Task Force. The LDH Task Force was requested to assist with water supply for an auto repair shop fire, on South Main Street in Ambler Borough. Task Force units reported to the intersection of Morris Road and Butler Avenue to wait for orders. Engine 51 was assigned to establish a third supply line from the Wissahickon Creek to the fire. Engine 51 laid 800 feet of 5 inch hose and supplied water to Engine 7 at the fire scene.
